The GRAND NCE Research Network (www.grand-nce.ca) is hosting an industry consultation on Stereoscopic 3D Film and Digital Media, Wednesday, June 1, 1:30-4:30 pm, at IRMACS Centre (irmacs.sfu.ca), Simon Fraser University (Burnaby Campus).
This event is free but by invitation only. Invitations are being extended to industry professionals and researchers working largely in the BC media and cultural industries who are interested in the future of Stereoscopic 3D as it pertains to their business.
The consultation has multiple goals:
- to open discussions between the GRAND researchers and their colleagues in the media and cultural industries;
- to identify potential research problems that are of interest to the media and cultural industries; and
- to identify future opportunities for networking, workshops, consultations, and events that are of mutual interest and benefit.
In addition to the afternoon session, an introductory workshop covering the basics of Stereoscopic 3D will take place in the morning 10 am to noon, at IRMACS. Lunch will be available for all participants at Noon.
