The Mexican mobile market continues to show double-digit growth, reaching 95.3 million devices in 2Q2011 (10% increase) and $4.5 billion in revenues. Mobile strategies promote growth through higher data service usage and stronger price reductions. Through its brand Telcel, America Movil leads with 69% of the market share. Canadian developers of mobile applications and content, telecom wireless technology, network equipment, and IT platforms, should attend this seminar to gain market intelligence and information on key developments and opportunities in the Mexican mobile market.

A special case report on America Movil, the largest mobile carrier in Latin America and 4th worldwide, will be presented. Through its brand Telcel, América Móvil leads with 70% of the Mexican mobile market share.

América Móvil, from its headquarters in Mexico City, has presence in 17 Latin American countries with more than 225 million users. During the year 2010, América Móvil produced $50.35 billion in revenues, which accounted for a 7.6% growth over 2009. América Móvil's main strategy to capitalize on its position as the leader in the Latin American mobile telecommunications market is based on the continued expansion of its subscriber base, through organic growth and strategic acquisitions in the region.
